Processing Times

02/20/2024: I am currently working on a 7-9 business day average turnaround time. This is from date of order and does not include shipping time!

Note that holidays, weekends, sales, and larger orders may mean it take a little longer than posted times for your item to ship. I do not work on Saturdays or federal holidays.

 

I list my current processing times in the banner at the top of my page, in the cart, and here to be as transparent as possible.

 

All of my customers are important to me, whether their order is only $10 or $100, so I do not fill orders based on the value, nor do I offer rush processing for an additional fee. That is, I do not pick out small orders to do first. I fill them in the order that I receive them in, and since so many of my items are customizable, this does add to my processing times. Additionally, since I am a small business, and many of my materials are used in many of my products, I do not have many items made in advance. The items are made when I receive an order requesting them.

 

I know that in this age of Amazon, Free 2-Day Shipping, Curbside pickup, etc, this sounds like a long time, and I agree that it is! But as it is just me and I have a young family to care for, that is where I am at right now.

 

 

Shipping Carriers

I offer USPS and UPS shipping. USPS pickups are doing Monday through Friday from my home. UPS I drop off on Mondays and Wednesdays. 

I will use the shipping carrier you specify. Subscription orders are done with USPS. 

International Shipping

Currently, I am unable to ship to France or Germany due to VAT and/or packaging laws. 

 

UK orders have a £136 minimum (currently $173 USD) due to VAT laws. You will be charged $25 shipping which is the lowest shipping cost available from me to you. When your order is complete and weighed, I will send you an invoice for any amount over that due. Packages up to 4 lbs will be about $55. Shipping costs due NOT include VAT or duty and may be responsible for those fees when you receive your package. 

 

Alternatively, you can shop through the Etsy shop for a smaller order. Please be aware that item prices are higher on Etsy due to the amount of fees they charge. 

 

Australia has opened up First Class Shipping again! All packages under 4 lbs will be able to ship this cheaper shipping rate. Over 4 lbs will still have to go by Priority Mail Express.  

 

I cannot currently ship to New Zealand. 

 

Russia and Ukraine shipping are suspended at this time. 

 

Some countries are still unable to be shipped to because of COVID. Please see here for the most recent information.  

 

I currrently only offer USPS shipping for international shipping, as UPS charges additional brokerage fees. If you would like to arrange a different method of shipping, please let me know. 

Any shipping fees do not include VAT, duties, taxes, or any other importing fees. 

Packages returned to me for refusal to pay VAT or duties fees, or failure to pick up will have two options:

1) You will be invoiced for shipping charges again and your order reshipped

2) Your order refunded minus original shipping charges

 

 

Shipping Costs

Shipping Costs are calculated by the cart, and are based on a combination of box size, weight, and distance from me in Michigan. I do not make money off of shipping and try to charge as accurate of prices as possible. 

 

Shipping Refunds

Occassionally, the cart over charges and I will refund excess funds at my discretion in the forms of Rewards points. 

 

Incorrect Addresses

In the event that your box is shipped back to me due to an incorrect address or failure to pickup, I will reach out to confirm the correct address with you and verify the next steps. If the mistake was mine, I will reship at no cost to you. However, if I am given incorrect information which caused the mistake, then you will be responsible for the costs to reship the package. In the event you would like to not have the order sent back to you again, I will refund the order minus shipping costs.

Packaging Material

I almost always use brand new boxes to ship items, and always use new packaging paper. Occassionally, especially for orders with odd or large dimensions, I will recycle a used, clean box. I try to keep plastic use to a minimum; any bubble wrap or air pillow type packages are re-used from other shipments. Any re-used items have not been used to ship any chemicals, liquids, or anything else potentially hazardous to your pets!

Tracking

Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking number (or SMS message if you opted for that instead). You can also log into your account to track your order. The Shop app also allows you to keep track of your orders!
